Job Description
Wyndham Hotel Group is searching for a HR Manager (Recruiting &Training Manager) to work at our beautiful Dolce Q Center in St. Charles, IL. We are looking for an an energetic HR Manager to enhance the HR department by assisting with the day-to-day activities including recruiting, orientation, employee relations. This position will also assist with various HR programs and a strong focus Recruiting & Training.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Work with all levels of management at the property to determine core competencies required for key positions and identify specific resources to ensure acquisition and maintenance of those competencies.
Is responsible for opening and closing employment requisitions in a timely manner within the ATS.
Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements prior to recommending to hiring managers/supervisors.
Monitors and assists managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues.
Conducts applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks and verifies work authorization utilizing eVerify.
Ensures all new hires are onboard promptly by all department heads by ensuring all new hire training packets are returned to HR for proper record keeping.
Ensures internal job postings are updated on a biweekly basis.
Coordinates and conducts monthly new hire orientation explaining benefits, company programs, and conducting tours of property.
Assists employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
Oversees mandatory compliance training on a monthly basis for new hires and existing associates.
Assists in responding to employee relation issues as needed.
Assists with coaching, counseling and guiding management before executing employee disciplinary actions.
Assists with maintaining new hire and personnel files ensuring accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9's).
Maintains and updates HRIS database records and processes paperwork for new hires, terminations and other status changes as documented on payroll action forms (PAF's.)
Compiles HRIS related reports as needed.
Assists with Workman's Compensation claims, complete First Report of Injury and Employers Report of Industrial Injury.
Assists associates in navigating FMLA and other types of leaves of absences through the third party vendor for both union and non-union associates.
Assists with Leave of Absence log to ensure recoupment of health insurance premiums.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Must be familiar with company handbook.
Assists HR Department with various research projects and/or special projects.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Identify and implement standardized timelines, orientation, on-the-job and other learning and developmental activities required for acquisition of core competencies and maintenance of required knowledge and skills.
Deliver training as required to meet the needs of the property.
Assist managers in the development of job descriptions and recruiting requisitions on an as-needed basis.
Partner with local universities, culinary schools, and professional associations to establish pipeline of talent.
Monitor local/national labor/employment legislation and implements required changes to keep the process compliant.
Set the social media communication strategy for different job profiles and functions in the organization.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
