00 an hour We are currently looking for a Janitor for our local manufacturing facility and office suites.
In this position you will support daily plant operations by ensuring continual cleanliness and housekeeping of the plant facility, offices and grounds throughout the day, while practicing safe work practices and adherence to all management directives, procedures and instructions in all activities.
Sweep/Mop/Vacuum lobby, office, cafeteria, production areas.
Continually inspect for and dispose of all debris (office/plant).
Continually re-inspect and remove debris throughout Production, Quality, Warehouse, Shipping, Dock areas, Grounds, Offices, etc.
Clean smudges, fingerprints and other from windows / walls an office equipment Clean/Disinfect/Restock PLANT and OFFICE Washrooms (fixtures, sinks/toilets, floors, walls, mirrors, remove trash.
Fill soap / hand-towels / toilet paper / sanitary supplies, etc.
) Clean/Disinfect/Restock KITCHEN:
a) Wipe off all tables and counters; b) Clean Microwaves; c) Clean Windows; d) Clean Walls; e) Sweep/Mop Floor; stock paper towels.
Clean/Disinfect/Restock CAFETERIA:
a) Wipe off all tables and counters; b) Clean Microwaves; c) Clean Windows; d) Clean Walls; e) Sweep/Mop Floor; stock paper towels.
Clean/Disinfect/Restock LOCKER Rooms (fixtures, sinks/toilets, floors, walls, mirrors, remove trash.
Fill soap / hand-towels / toilet paper / sanitary supplies, etc.
) Clean GROUNDS:
a) Empty Trash cans in Parking Lot; b) Pick-up Debris; c) Maintain entryways / walkways (clear snow, put down salt, if applicable).
Continually re-inspect and remove debris throughout Production, Quality, Warehouse, Shipping, Dock areas, Grounds, Offices, etc.
Re-inspect all Washrooms continually throughout the day for cleanliness, supply replenishment and general condition.
Inspect facilities for property damage, vandalism, graffiti, etc.
and immediately notify management if observed.
Requisition / replenish appropriate custodial supplies under direction of Maintenance Supervisor.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications Exhibit dependability by working with minimal supervision, practicing punctuality with good attendance, arriving prepared to work at the scheduled start time each day.
Exhibit dependability by working independently, taking ownership and accountability for meeting timelines, goals and objectives through efficient workload management.
HS degree (GED equivalent).
Janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
independently; and up to 100 pounds with assistance; forklift experience, a plus.
